During their first half term in Year 5, the children learnt all about the process of designing, creating and binding their very own medieval book. It was a chance for them to experience the process medieval book binders had to go through just to produce one book! Thank goodness we have machines nowadays that can make them for us. I don't think Miss Dickinson and Mrs Hinksman would be able to cope with the mass production of books! From measuring and cutting book covers and material, to sewing several quires of pages together, the Year 5 children did a superb job! Look at some of their medieval books.
